Brian Fisher

Scott Brown

With over 28 years in child welfare, Scott Brown has served in many areas, starting out as chief financial officer and then as executive vice president of the Domestic, Foster Care and Inter-Country Adoption Programs . He is now the Texas director of development and partnerships for Lifeline Children’s Services, a non-profit evangelical organization whose mission is to equip the Body of Christ to manifest the Gospel to vulnerable children.

Scott and his wife, Monica, started HisChild Adoption and Orphan Care Ministry as well as the Marriage Mentoring program at their home church, Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth. In 2006, Scott and Monica co-founded Kidmia (which means “priority” in Amharic). Kidmia is a transitional care center about three hours from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, whose mission and vision is to provide holistic care and support services to indigenous vulnerable children and families. He has also served on the board of H.O.P.E. Farm, an inner city ministry in Fort Worth which provides at-risk boys an opportunity to know Jesus Christ and develop life skills consistent with biblical truths. He also serves on the Christian Alliance for Orphans Fundraising Committee.

Scott married his high school sweetheart over 45 years ago, and they have three children and 12 grandchildren. One of their children and six of their grandchildren came to them through adoption.
