DALLAS, September 23, 2020 – Pro-Life Texans, a Human Coalition Action political action committee, today released its inaugural pro-life voter guides for five Texas House races. Outlining the candidates’ views on abortion in districts 45, 65, 66, 67 and 108, the guides will be distributed widely through allied partnerships and PAC-sponsored events. They will also be accessible through the Human Coalition Action website.
“No doubt the presidential election is consequential for the pro-life cause,” said Human Coalition Action Texas State Director Chelsey Youman. “However, vital laws that protect both women and preborn children are passed at the state level. Last session, Texas made significant strides in advancing women’s health while also protecting the preborn. New York and Illinois, on the other hand, are in competition with each other to become the most pro-abortion states on record. In Texas, it’s more important than ever to protect our pro-life majority in Austin so that we can continue to protect the most vulnerable among us.”
Pro-Life Texans endorsed the following candidates based upon their pro-life voting records and their responses to the organization’s 2020 issue survey:

“We endorsed these candidates because they understand that being pro-life is pro-woman,” said Youman. “The beliefs they hold dear and the legislation they support are in the best interests of both women and children.”
Additionally, the Pro-Life Texans voter guides for specific districts in the Texas State House of Representatives (linked below) list candidates’ positions on a wide range of abortion-related issues and legislation. For example, the guides outline which candidates support whether taxpayer dollars should pay for a woman’s abortion or subsidize Planned Parenthood, and whether a physician should be required to provide medical treatment to a newborn baby who is born alive after an abortion.
